I am looking for a consultant that can help me reduce the costs in running my business to make me more profitable in this economy. Are there any good consultants out there that can help me?

1. You can actually lose money by trying to save every penny that comes your way. First of all, calculate your dollar value, even though you might not charge on an hourly basis, you can calculate it easily by using how much you earn per month and how many hours do you spend working per month as variables. Then analyse whether wasiting an hours time going places when that same stuff could be done through phone or the internet but with lesser bargains.

2. Make a list of all the variable expenses and waste. Judge what needs to be eradicated.

3. Do the same with fixed expenses.

4. If you operate your business on rent, check if a smaller office or a lower locality can fetch you a better price. Again, this must not be done at the cost of your time.

5. Start investing your savings, so that you may have something spare along with your business earnings so that you may spend all your business earnings for your business only.

6. Decide a salary for yourself. Don't take out more funds.

7. Stop wasting money on luxuries such as a BMW or a 50 inch LCD.

8. Make a list of all your cell plans, broadband connections, cable, min. electricity expenditure; check if any of these could be cut short or a better plan could be chosen.

9. Don't engage in bad habits.
