Postie Answering -

Tracked - This is not for use as a one off - Its intended for bulk users and the price differs dependant on the amount you send over a year. http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/print?catId=46800683&mediaId=52700708#29700231

Signed For - This is recorded - and the maximum amount covered in case of non-delivery (except when returned as not collected), or loss is £36. http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/print?catId=500201&mediaId=51200700

For an item with a value as stated I would always recommend Royal Mail Special Delivery. This has different insurance rates and a choice between 9am delivery and 1pm delivery. http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/jump2?catId=400028&mediaId=400026

A word to the wise make sure you have a receipt that shows the value of the item your are sending in case of loss or damage - I believe though best check it out - that the claims people accept a Ebay receipts.
