I am a DOD contractor employed by a company that paid my relocation costs to work on a specific DOD contract. The relocation agreement says I must remain with the company for 12 months or pay back the full relocation cost. The company lost the rebid on the contract for which I was hired. The contract expires in 3 months and the company has not notified the employees yet that it lost the rebid (even though the info is on the web and that is why I know). If I leave the company at the end of the contract, which will be 9 months of employment not 12, will I be liable for relocation costs and required to pay back my company? I want to move on to a different company.
