Can someone recommend me the site with the consumer reviews for products and/or services? I am looking for real consumer reviews. Reviews should not be paid for by any firm or corporation.

Hi,

I always use one site to post my consumer reviews:

http://www.pissedconsumer.com/

They are great. You can find a variety reviews with for variety of industries and products:

auto reviews, finance reviews, insurance reviews, consumer products, computer reviews, health opinions, food reviews, travel opinions and etc,

These reviews are unbiased and posted by real consumers that have the opinion about services and products.

I would highly recommend for you to use them

Consumerreports.org is a subscriber service and magazine that does independent (not corporate paid) spec testing of most consumer goods. Pcmag.com also has great spec testing reviews for most computer and small digital products such as cameras and they will usually have consumer reviews (as people post them). I have found that it is better to believe the experts and specification testing than a cumulative group of average Joe's like you and me. I could look at two digital pics and probably never see things such as purple fringing (or know what it is without being told) but it is a factor that can lead to long term image quality of digital cameras.

It also depends on what type of products. Consumer Reports covers just about every brand of everything you can imagine from automobiles (which consumer repair history) to ovens to curling irons. More specific sites, like Digital Photography Review (www.dpreview.com), cover just digital cameras making their data more specific and they allow user reviews and forums.

The shopping sites (amazon, yahoo shopping, cnet, etc) have too many generic postings that won't give you the info you need. For example, "takes great pictures" doesn't tell you anything about whether those are digital images viewed on the camera LCD, a monitor, or printed at 12x18 for professional displays. And "I just bought this and it works great" doesn't tell you anything about expected long-term reliability or features.

Hope this helps!

Here in the Washington, DC metro area we have a nonprofit entity that does exactly what you ask; The Washington Consumer Checkbook. Similar to Consumer Reports, but not-for-profit, they publish a magazine that rates products and services for the region. For a donation WCC will mail it to you, but being a cheapskate, I go to my local library to get it. On occasion I call the library to have a librarian advise me what volume I need to see to research the reviews of a particular product or service.

I use several sites.

Epinions and Amazon.com

They have the best range and best peer review if you ask me. Not generated to push sales as much as get community involvement. Amazon has the product scope to cover many reviews and epinions has its network of sites they cover and dedicated reviewers. Both are free.

Excuse me, yet are not you in violation of 5v and thirteen i? purely kidding... i've got self assurance that it relatively is my extraordinary as a customer and customer to proportion any journey, stable or undesirable with others. Is it alright to place up the stable stuff? What a shaggy dog tale. This business enterprise is greater in contact on the subject of the undesirable overview than it relatively is approximately giving spectacular customer help and heading off adverse comments. Sounds as though they assume the undesirable comments. As a customer, I matter on customer comments. Why ought to a business enterprise that screws its shoppers or provides undesirable provider be secure? be attentive to mouth is what a customer can use as leverage while coping with any corporation. thirteen i, what's that? i won't be able to tell a buddy or family individuals member to no longer use xyz business enterprise through fact they ripped me off or overcharged me? it relatively is humorous. If agencies dealt with shoppers greater powerful, this question does not must be published. in case you have a terrible journey, purely placed up anonymously. Duh...

consumer reports.com might be a good place to start -- they are an independent, but broadly recognized, resource and do not receive endorsement or support from the companies they review
