I was expecting a package today by 8:00 pm but about 15 minutes ago i received a notification that was my tracking number that said “held at post office at customer request.”. I have no idea what this means. I didn’t request for it to be held at the post office. Even if it gave me the option to pick it up i’d have no way to know which post office it was.

The Customer of the USPS is the SENDER of the parcel, not you.

Try asking the sender.

if there is a number you can call or they have given you instructions follow them, otherwise take your message to the post office and pick it up

Evidently, someone made a mistake If I were you, I'd go to my nearest post office branch and see whether they can help.
