How to import data from excel to Tally.ERP9?

Question

I am working as freelance accountant. Some of my clients are using other softwares like logic, Busy UL, Marg Etc. It becomes bit difficult for me to generate Vat Returns and some of them are not even capable of generating vat returns so i have to manually enter their data into Tally.ERP9. Can some body help me to enter data from excel to tally. I have some idea that the excel data can be merged to Word in xml format but don't know how to. Thanks

There is an import utility in Access, but you have to create the database first. Simply open Access and create a new database. Name it, save it, and it will then open. Once it is open select FILE-GET EXTERNAL DATA - IMPORT. Make sure at the bottom of the selection window you have either all files or excel selected as the file format type. The wizard will walk you through the rest.

Also it is multi-user. I using since 1 year and its work best.
