What you've got is something called a "gold certificate". Back in the day you could go to a bank, slap it down on the counter, and get a $10 gold piece.



Reena's answer is basically correct for a bill in the same condition as the one in the link she provided. It's about a $200 item if it's worn about like the average bill you see in circulation now, and close to $700 if it has no folds or any evidence of wear.
