The SquareTrade Seal is one way for sellers to show bidders that they are committed to high selling standards and have had their identity verified by a third party. To retain a SquareTrade Seal a seller must:
Agree to participate in SquareTrade's Dispute Resolution should a problem arise
Have their identity verified by SquareTrade
Commit to SquareTrade's standards for online selling
If for some reason you need to file a case with SquareTrade, you can be assured that the seller will respond. SquareTrade also guarantees all listings with a verified SquareTrade Seal for up to $250.00 against fraud.

No, it's not a scam. It's kind of a third-party arbitration site that helps people work out difference of opinion when a seller and buyer are having problems. Frankly, they haven't ever done anything to help me, and I don't think anybody cares too much about that "square trade" seal any more. It makes some sellers look honest, and helps people feel like they are going to be treated fairly if they buy from them. But really most of the sellers and buyers on eBay are pretty honest, fair, and easy to work with.
I've been on there for several years and have bought and sold over a thousand items. Very rarely have I had any trouble with anybody on there.

Ebay does indeed offer a Square Trade Mediation Service. But if you feel that you might be being scammed forward the email to spoof@ebay.com and they will generally respond back to you about wether it is legit or not in 24 hours. Also you can visit www.ebay.com and go under help for samples of fake emails. Do you have an Ebay account and have you done any recent transactions that someone might be unhappy with?

You offer no details on what you are asking! Was it an email??
Google "ebay square trade center" and you will see that it is a legitimate part of Ebay, but there are many scams & scam artists that use Ebay and some use a scam that includes the squre trade center.
